Moving Blogs

Ever since my great deletion of my 1st blog that I was very happy with but got too happy with the delete button on accident...I just can't find a groove that I fit into with the new blogs. So here I am again....going to try to start again and hopefully fit into this one. I like the name (of course) and the title because it is true.

Starting again:
My name is Carla. I am married, have 3 daughters but only 2 at home. I have 2 step-children also. I live in Texas with my two dogs, one cat, one rabbit and 5 fish.
I work outside of the home and am crossing my fingers that it will continue to be that way since I am very close to being 100% vested in the company. This last February made 7 years since I started. I am in customer service and I take care of returns and credits for my branch.
I started scrapbooking in October 2005. I thought that it would be "neat" to keep a record of my wedding planning, the wedding, and then the honeymoon. Little did I know at the time that it was an addicting hobby to have. I have completed over 250 layouts along with all the countless cards that I have given away because I am not a card sender, all the altered journals and items that I have also given away. I have my own scraproom...well I take over half of the room and the other half is the office area.
At one point, I was big into swapping and was a swap hostess for "Its a Scrapbook Swap Thing". I didn't use the majority of it and it caused my mailman to hate me. I was on a short lived design team for "The Shaker Box" but the owner merged with another board and we were all let go so that little endeavor was about 2 months. That one hurt. I was so excited to be on the team because I felt like I was scrapping what people liked and then boom...it was over. I didn't scrap for a few months after that. Now The Shaker Box is back and I have no desire to go back.
I am back though, I have challenged myself to a scrappy diet. I haven't bought any scrapbook supplies at an online store, Michaels, Hobby Lobby or my local LSS's. I have only made it by on what I have in my stash, my monthly kit that I get from Bring Your Own Memories and the adhesive that I have allowed myself to buy. This started on January 1st and my goal was to go through May 1st but I think honestly that I can go further. Once I got my my initial shock of only looking-no buying it got unbelievably easy to walk away and come up with my own ideas on how to recreate what I found for sale.
My scrappy goal for the year is 183 layouts. As little cards as I can make and 4 altered items/mini albums.

A late night and morning.

I finished one of my 12 days of Christmas layouts. I worked on 2 layouts until midnight and then I had to go into work late this morning and I did one layout then.

New Layouts

I have been working on my 12 days of Christmas still and then I have been scrapping just random layouts here in the last few days.

My scrappy goals for this year is:
**No new items except for adhesives for a minimum of 4 months. Maybe some of my stash will deplete.
**Create 183-12x12 layouts (at least every other day)
**Create 4 mini albums
**Journal everyday on my journal blog
